Dr. Rohner always looks forward coming to work because he likes spending time with his patients as well as our wonderful team. He says that he gets to do what he loves every day while taking care of individuals and the community at large. He’s eager to welcome you into our dental office, and below, you can learn a little more about Dr. Rohner.

Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Rohner’s father was a pediatric dentist, and he encouraged him to go to dental school, but he actually said “no thanks” until he was halfway through college! By then, he realized he would be good at dentistry and decided to go for it. As it turned out, he was naturally talented, and the clinical skills were easy for him right from the beginning. Dr. Rohner was always good at video games, and he believes that this translated into being a talented dentist.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Originally from Arizona, Dr. Rohner completed his undergraduate degree at Arizona State University in 2002. After that, he moved to Boston to attend the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2006. Following dental school, he chose to move to North Carolina to attend the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Rohner became skilled in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, complex crown and bridge treatment, and other multifaceted aspects of dentistry while at UNC.

Today, he is still an avid learner and is always trying to improve as a dentist, which is why he is a member of several professional groups, including the:

  • American Dental Association
  • North Carolina Dental Association
  • Academy of General Dentistry
  • SPEAR Education

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Rohner resides in Raleigh and enjoys outdoor sports such as snowboarding, skiing, surfing, and golf, but his favorite thing to do by far is travel with his kids. They have skied and snorkeled together in the past and are always seeking out new adventures.
