Dental implants are the treatment of choice to replace missing or non-restorable teeth. Dental implants consist of a small post made of titanium that is placed in the jaw bone where the tooth is missing. The titanium post will actually bond to the surrounding bone through a process called osseointegration. After healing has occurred, an abutment is screwed into the implant and a crown is placed onto the abutment. The completed Implant, Abutment, & Crown provide our patients with a natural looking tooth.

Treatment: Placement of a dental implant consists of a minor surgery where a titanium post is placed into the jaw bone where your tooth is missing. In some cases a temporary tooth can be placed on the implant immediately after surgery. After a short healing time a final abutment and crown will be fabricated to complete the process.

The #13 had a vertical fracture down the root. The tooth was extracted and bone was regenerated using bone graft and collegen membrane. Dr. Rohner placed a dental implant and after a short healing time placed an abutment and crown
