Porcelain Veneers

Smile compared with porcelain veneer shade options

Porcelain DaVinci Veneers™ creates that quintessential, beyond-beautiful smile efficiently and with predictability. Before we begin preparing your teeth, care is always taken to determine what enhancements to the color, shape, length, and spacing of your teeth will be necessary. The teeth are lightly shaped and impressions are taken. Temporary veneers are placed over the teeth while the DaVinci laboratory fabricates your custom veneers. A few weeks later the DaVinci Veneers™ are placed in and bonded to your natural teeth producing a beautiful natural smile. Oftentimes a smile lift (gingivectomy and/or crown lengthening) is used to achieve a well-proportioned smile. Our dentists have produced many wonderful results!

Metal-Free
Dental Crowns

Metal free dental crown on fingertip

Repairing teeth that are broken or decayed is crucial, but most people don’t want to broadcast the fact that they had dental work done. That’s why, instead of dark metal crowns that immediately stand out in your smile, we can provide metal-free dental crowns made from ceramic and other tooth-colored materials. Your crown is 100% customized to protect your tooth while also seamlessly blending in with your smile.

Cosmetic Dental Bonding

Bonding is the use of tooth-colored composite resin with the intention of providing structural and cosmetic changes to the teeth. Often bonding is used to repair chipped or broken teeth or re-shape existing teeth for a more pleasing smile.

At-Home Teeth Whitening

Smile before and after at home teeth whitening

Discolored teeth can result from a variety of factors including food & drinks, tobacco use, & improper oral hygiene. We offer a variety of at-home tooth whitening options and will evaluate your tooth color and condition in order to recommend which option is best suited for you.

Gum Recontouring

Even if your teeth look fine, something may appear “off” about your grin. This may be due to a “gummy smile,” which occurs when an overabundance of gum tissue is visible compared to the teeth. Using the latest dental technology, we can correct gummy smiles with gum recontouring. By gently removing the excess gum tissue, we can create a more uniform appearance that lets your pearly whites truly shine.

Smile Makeovers

Smile improvements are one of our specialties. Improvements and restorations are crafted to complement each individual. The most advanced techniques and materials including laser soft tissue shaping and porcelain veneers by DaVinci Dental Studios allow us to develop that smile you have always wanted. Each case is unique and we take great pride in providing you with an exceptional result.

Cosmetic Dentistry FAQs

Cosmetic dentistry can make the smile of your dreams a reality, but you should only commit to the process once you’re sure that you fully understand what to expect. Our team is more than happy to answer any questions you might have about veneers, teeth whitening, and our various other cosmetic options. The following FAQs cover many of the questions that we have heard in the past; check to see if the answers you need are listed below before you reach out to our team.

How Do I Know If I Need Cosmetic Dentistry?

Cosmetic dental services are purely elective. You should only have them done if you have a smile that you are not completely confident with. Indications that you could benefit from cosmetic dentistry include:

  • Stained or discolored teeth that don’t respond to whitening products that are bought over the counter.
  • Visible teeth that are notably chipped or cracked. (Note that a damaged tooth could potentially be an oral health issue.)
  • Wanting a bright, beautiful smile that can help you look younger.

To know for sure whether cosmetic dentistry is the best choice for your grin, you can schedule a consultation at our practice.

Does Cosmetic Dentistry Hurt?

We know that many patients are nervous about having dental work of any kind done, which is why we always take whatever steps we can to minimize discomfort while performing cosmetic dental procedures. Some of our cosmetic services – such as dental bonding – are noninvasive, meaning a local anesthetic likely won’t be required. On the other hand, we may have to numb your mouth for other procedures, such as when we reshape your tooth to place veneers.

In some cases, you might notice some soreness or sensitivity for a few days after you have cosmetic dental work done. It should only be mild, and it will fade on its own.

How Long Does Cosmetic Dentistry Last?

The estimated lifespan of cosmetic dentistry depends on which service you’ve chosen, with some treatments naturally lasting longer than others. For example, quick procedures like dental bonding and teeth whitening often don’t last as long as more extensive treatments like veneers and metal-free crowns. In most cases, gum recontouring is considered permanent because the removed gum tissue won’t grow back over time.

Remember that if you want your new grin to last, you need to take excellent care of your oral health by brushing and flossing every day. Regular checkups can also go a long way toward helping you maintain the results of your smile transformation.

Is Cosmetic Dentistry Covered by Insurance?

The answer to this question is usually no because most cosmetic treatments are purely elective procedures. However, sometimes dental insurance will help pay for crowns or veneers that are used to protect damaged teeth; it might also partially cover gum recontouring that removes infected gum tissue. Our team can review your plan with you and help you figure out what kind of coverage you’re eligible for.
